In Harmony is a ground breaking new music education and social project.
orchestra
What will happen?
Children will be given a chance to learn music and a variety of instruments in an intense, fast track programme. They will form bands and orchestras and take part in projects and public performances in Stockwell, at Southbank Centre, and other venues in London. There will also be holiday courses and fun days open to all.
summer2
Who is it for?
The project is aimed at young children between the ages of 4 and 6 initially, but will also involve older children and their whole families. Children from Lansdowne Green Estate or who attend local schools can take part. The project is free but will need a lot of commitment.

Where will it happen?
Classes will take place in the community hall and other venues on the estate and in surrounding schools and venues.
How long has it been running?
Lessons and try outs for the first group of 100 children began in the Summer Term of 2009, on the estate and in some local schools. Further groups started in September.

How can I get involved?
Children can be part of this exciting project whether or not they already play a musical instrument. This high profile project will also need adult volunteers to assist with a range of activities. Frequent updates will be posted here on the website, at the Lansdowne Green housing office, and at local schools.
