Big Summer Sing! - Wednesday 14th July 2021, 10.45-11.10am (online)
Following such a turbulent year for music in schools, we were delighted to present an opportunity for young singers to come together and celebrate the rich culture of singing that we are so proud of in Lambeth with the Big Summer Sing!
The Big Summer Sing was a timed online presentation hosted by our LMS singing team which all schools in Lambeth were invited to join in and sing along with at the same time.
We know that schools are keen to bring singing back into focus after a challenging period of such limited activity. With our annual Singing Festivals postponed until 2022, this event provided an opportunity for teachers to re-connect with their choirs and young voices in the safety of their surroundings while also taking part in a borough-wide celebration.

This is a very special song written by Lambeth schools in 2016 and is always a big part of our annual Singing Festival finale. The words brilliantly conjure up the sights, sounds and historic characters that make up our wonderful borough making it the perfect song for celebrating Lambeth together!
