SUPPORT AND WELLBEING
Lambeth has a confidential and anonymous helpline and Employee Assistance website, which is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Health Assured offers employees and their immediate families confidential and independent advice on:

Covid-19
We are really pleased that things are continuing to return closer to a pre-pandemic normal and as such, feel that we (the Service) are now in the position of releasing ourselves from the stringent guidance that we have applied to our working arrangements over the past two years.
We have adjusted our guidance accordingly during all stages of the pandemic and are very proud that, together, we have managed to maintain teaching and learning activities and reduce the risks and impact of covid on our staff and all those that we work with.
We do still encourage tutors to always use their discretion when making decisions around the safety of pupils and staff. Tutors should continue to make pragmatic and safe choices informed by the guidance and information that we have provided in the past and be mindful of the three key areas of minimising risk: distancing, ventilation and hygiene.
What has changed?
The regime for regular asymptomatic testing that we have had in place is no longer required and can now come to an end. We will no longer be issuing specific guidance for delivery of activities in schools and music centres although we expect staff to remain aware of specific protocols individual schools may have put in place. If you are unsure of these at any point, please speak to your school contact and/or your programme manager.
Reassuringly, Individual Risk Assessments (IRA’s) will no longer be required for staff except for those who have a weakened immune system, as they are at higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19, despite vaccination. Tutors who identify as being at higher risk should continue to flag this with their programme managers so the appropriate support can be offered.
Protocol for being unwell
If staff have COVID-19 symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 we would expect them to follow the latest NHS guidance.
Vaccination
As a Lambeth employer, we also encourage our staff to take advantage of the available opportunities for vaccination. First, second and booster vaccinations are readily available to everyone aged 12 and over across Lambeth. More on COVID-19 vaccination and how to get one is available at the following link: COVID-19 Vaccinations - Lambeth.
We recognise that this current situation may change and will continue to respond appropriately and when necessary to support our staff and all those that we work with.

SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding is everybody's responsibility and we encourage tutors to always act on their concerns. Referrals for concerns relating to school-based activity should be made to the school Designated Safeguarding Lead. Referrals for concerns relating to activity taking place in a Music Centre should be made to the Music Service Designated Safeguarding Lead (currently Bryan Welton, the Head of Service).
